ABOUT
Monaco Plaisance was founded in 1990 by Jean and Claude Rodelato.
Thanks to their professionalism and experience in the nautical world,
they have established themselves as privileged logistical partners
for racers and yachtsmen in Monaco and on the Monegasque series.
In collaboration with the Yacht Club de Monaco and the owners,
they were actively involved in rebuilding the 888 Smeralda Class,
which includes 17 boats in the world,
all sailing under the colours of YCM for over 20 years.

Monaco Plaisance is a North Sails and Harken distributor in the Principality.

In 2024, Steve and Charles take over
Monaco Plaisance
bringing their own activities
and with the aim of perpetuating the business
created by the Rodelato brothers.

After training in the Merchant Navy,
Charles sails for several years
onboard commercial ships, cruise ships
& on the expedition ship Tara
during the Arctic drift.

In 2012, he joins Yacht Club of Monaco,
his childhood club,
and becomes logistics manager
for sailing events.
​​
At YCM, he discovers
geostationary marks, MarkSetBots,
and creates MC Marine Concept - MCMC
in 2019 to promote their use in France.
​
He also specialises in teaching
pleasure crafts licences.
Steve is a licenced State Sailing Instructor,
In 1999, he joins the Sports Section
of the Yacht Club of Monaco.
​​
For almost 25 years
he is a reference between YCM
and the Monegasque Ministry of Education
for teaching students to sail.
​
He is also key figure in the organisation
of YCM's nautical
events such as the Prada Challenge
the Prada Challenge and the Riva Trophy.
Since 2005, Steve has been
YCM teacher for the
Monegasque coastal licence.
